Lake Tahoe

The weekend before last we got to spend a couple relaxing days in Tahoe City; my aunt and uncle rented a cabin up there and invited us to come stay with them (thanks Linda and Craig!). My grandma and cousin were there with them and my parents came and stayed the same night we did. Savannah had tons of fun with everyone and claimed everyone’s focus, as she always does.

Travis found these sunglasses for Savannah on the beach - she liked them but she was a little upset, no, that was understatement, she was very upset about the sand getting in her shoes. She refused to walk and just sat in the chair crying inconsolably and desperately saying "Oh no!" "Oh no!" and "Off!" "Off!" So, our time at the lake got off to a rough start but, after we moved up on to the grass away from the sand, things got much better...until Travis came back from the water with sand on his feet..
I can't ever imagine where she got these obsessively clean tendencies...


It turns out that hiking was much more to Savannah's liking than playing in the messy sand, especially when she didn't have to do any of the work! She cried when the hike was over and didn't want to get out of the backpack.

We took lunch break by a stream and Savannah and Grandpa Steve had fun throwing rocks in the water.
